(彭丽媛, Peng Liyuan,1962년 11월 20일 ~ ）은
 중화인민공화국의 군대 가수이다.
 인민해방군 계급은 소장이다.
 남편은 시진핑 중화인민공화국 부주석이다.
산둥 성 출신. 14살 때 산둥예술학교 입학.
18살 때 중국 인민해방군 문예병으로 입대.
1986년 시진핑과 만나 다음해 결혼.

With a revolutionary hero for a father and a pop star for a wife, China's new leader Xi Jinping has impeccable political pedigree but has given few clues about how he will govern the country. Xi, 59, walked into the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Thursday as general-secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, the most powerful position in the world's most populous country and second-biggest economy. He is expected to become national president in March and hold both posts for the next decade.

China's next first lady Peng Liyuan is a dazzling singer whose profile long eclipsed that of her husband Xi Jinping, and who will bring a touch of glamour to a role hidden in the shadows for decades. A soprano known for singing the praises of the party, Peng holds the rank of army general and starred for 24 years in an annual Lunar New Year gala broadcast on state television and watched by hundreds of millions of viewers.

Xi's public persona is given a sprinkle of glamour by his wife Peng Liyuan, who holds the rank of army general and sings songs praising the party. Comparisons are already being drawn between Peng and Carla Bruni, the singer and model who wed France's President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Pen Liyuan In recent months she has had a behind-the-scenes role as artistic director for military troupe performances welcoming the party congress, according to the few mentions of her in state media. Peng comes from an area in the eastern province of Shandong known for its peony flowers - she was nicknamed the "Peony Fairy" by her admirers - and joined the army at the age of 18. A semi-official biography posted on Chinese web portals tells how she began as an ordinary soldier but began performing at PLA shows to boost troop morale. She has since performed in 50 countries.

 그는 아키히토(明仁) 일왕의 즉위 20주년을 기념하는
 공연 무대에 올랐다.
 그리고 일본인 애창곡 ‘사계절의 노래’를 열창했다.
나루히토(德仁) 왕세자는 뜨거운 기립 박수를 보냈다.
 2주 후 시진핑 측은 일왕 부부 접견을 타진했다.
그리고 2주 만에 일왕을 만날 수 있었다.
최소 한 달 전에는 신청해야 접견할 수 있는
관례에 비추어
시진핑 부부를 파격적으로 환대한 것이었다.
 
센카쿠 열도(중국명 댜오위다오)를 둘러싼
 중·일 갈등이 나날이 격화되고 있는 상황에서
 펑 여사에 대한 외교적 기대치는 점점 높아지고 있다.
