근래 대한민국정부는  한국의 영토인 독도를 한국정부와 국민들의 강한 반대에도 불구하고  자신들의 영토라고 거짓 주장하는 새로운 교과서를 승인하고 정당화 하는 일본정부에 대해 맹열한 비난을 하였습니다.

새로히 수정된 이 교과서에는 동해안에 위치한, 일본어 발음으로는 타케시마 라고 불리는 이 독도를 자기들의 영토라고 주장하며 한국이 불법으로 차지하고 있다고 기록하고 있습니다.

더우기 일본정부는 오만하게도 왜곡된 교과서의 내용을 수정하라는 대한민국의 거듭된 요구에도 억지주장을 펴고 있으며 일본 수상은 이러한 왜곡된 시도를 어쩔수 없는일이라고 주장하고 있습니다. 이섬의 소유권에 대한 분쟁은 지난 몇년에 걸쳐 심화되고 있으며 일본의 계속된 거짓주장은 대한민국 국민의 성난 항의를 유발시키고 있습니다.

1905년부터 시작된 아시아지역에 대한 영향을 확대하기 위한 시도중 한국으로 부터 강제로 빼았은  어획량과 지하자원이  풍부한 이 작은 무인도에 대하여 한국인 들은 역사적인 소유권을 내세우고 있는것 입니다. 그리고 1950년 부터는 소수의 경찰과 민간인들로 이루어진 독도수비대가 이섬에  거주하고 있습니다.

또한 중국정부는 일본이 세계 2차대전중 자행한 잔학행위를 미화한 새로운 역사교과서에 대해 20세기중반  자신들이 저지른 침략을 정당화 하고자 하는 행위이며 이러한 행위는 어린학생들의 정신에도 치명적인 독이되는 일이라고 비난을 하였습니다.

일본은 1910년부터 1945년 미국에 무조건 항복을 할때까지 한국을 위성국가화 시키고 한국국민들을 가혹하게 다루어 대다수의 한국국민들은 일본에 대한 원한을 가지고 있는것은 의문의 여지가 없습니다.

아시아국가들로 부터 격렬한 비난을 늘 들었듯이 이러한 왜곡된 교과서는 2차대전시 일본이 2차대전시 일본에게 점령되었던 홍콩, 한국 그리고 중국 등의 나라로부터 끊임없는항의를 유발 할것입니다. 약 35만명이나 되는 중국인들이 불과 6주 동안에 저지러진 소위 “난징대학살” 기간에 살해되었습니다.

대한민국을 사랑하는 우리 미국거주 동포들과 평화를 사랑하는 모두는 지금도 유엔상임국 이 되고자하는 일본에 대하여 반대의 기치를 들고 그들의 거짓은 문명이 존재하는 이땅에서 영원이 설곳이 없음을 알게해야 하겠습니다.

지금 이순간 일본은 쓰나미 와 지진으로 엄청난 고통을 받고 있습니다. 우리 한국민도 가장 많은구조대와 물적인 도움을 그들의 고통을 덜어주기 위하여 지원하는 나라중의 하나입니다.이점에 궁금한것은 우리의 도움을 지극히 받아드리면서 한편으로는 자기들의 잘못된점을 인정하지않은 그들의 행위입니다.

우리는 일본의 위선적인 행동을 어떻게 이해하여야 겠습니까?.

Most recently, Korea denounced after Japanese government defended their government’s approval of a civic text book supporting Japan’s claim to cluster of an Island named “Dok Do” owned by Korea, despite strong condemnation by its government.

The newly published text book falsely states that the east inlet- called Tekeshima in Japan and Dok Do in Korea- are illegally occupied by Korea.

Japan contumaciously has effused Korea’s demand to address the fact that the island belongs to Korea in their entire text book, and Japan’s prime minister said the handling of the textbook was “uncontrollable.”

The dispute over the ownership of the island has escalated in recent years, with Japan’s enduring false claim to the territory prompting angry demonstration in Korea and abroad.

Japan illegally took control of the uninhabited islets, which are surrounded by rich in fishing waters and abundant natural resources in 1905 as it was expanding its influence in ASIA, BUT Korea claims historical ownership to them. Since 1950s, a small Korean police detachment and few civilians, named “Do Do Subidae” are living in the island.

China also has denounced Japan’s newly published civic textbook for whitewashing Japan’s World War II atrocities. Korea said the book attempts to justify Japan’s aggression in Asia in the first half of the 20^th century and called it “lethal poison” for their youthful minds.

Japan colonized and brutally subjected Koreans from 1910 until its unconditional surrender to the United States in 1945, and there is no doubt that most Koreas still harbor deep resentment against Japan.

As we hear of the outcry from the Asian countries, the new textbook also prompted a lager scale protest in last week in Koreas, and China that was also attacked by Japan during World War II. Estimated more than 350,000 Chinese people were murdered in just weeks during the “the massacre if Nanjing” along.

We, Korean Americans who love our mother land and all peace loving people of the world, must raise the slogans against Japan’s bid to join the U.N. Security Council and let Japan realizes its atrocities have no place to stand in the civilized human society.

At this very moment, Japan sufferers greatly due to the Tsunami and earthquake that occurred a few weeks ago. Korea is one of the countries providing the most support by sending material goods and scores of rescue teams. This raises the question of how Japan can eagerly accept our help but refused to admit their historical wrongdoings. How should we perceive Japanese’ hypocritical conduct?
